The business
How we make money, in plain words.
A matching service has to be paid for by someone. Here is who, and here is what that does and doesn’t change for you.
You never pay
- Humans Wanted is free for the people doing the work. No fee, no subscription, no cut of what you earn.
Referral partnerships
- When you take a project on a platform we sent you to, some platforms pay us a referral fee. It never changes your rate, and it never changes the ranking: matches are scored against your interview, not against what a platform pays us. You apply on their site; we only see the click.
Featured placements, later
- At some point a platform may pay to appear in a featured slot in your weekly email. It will be labelled as such, every time, and it still has to fit you to show up at all.
Employers who want vouched experts
- Companies may pay to reach people whose skills have been confirmed by the people they worked with. Only with your consent, one request at a time. You decide what is shared, and you can say no.
What we don’t do
- Sell your data. Your number, your interview, your profile and what your references said are never sold, rented or handed to an ad network. Not now, not as a growth plan.
